Behind this “self-made” checklist of mine is a community of amazing teachers and administration that has been a constant overflow of G-O-O-D poured into my son and my nieces.
From a parent’s POV, my checklist was a way to make sure that I was doing my part to show how appreciative I was, am, and forever will be (If I could give more, Lord knows I would and Beyond!). So thankful for the surreal dedication and love that our students receive during their education and how it overflows from the students and into their families!
Now, from the other side, as the 1st-grade instructor, I am so blessed to serve/sow back into this beautiful gift that has been given to us.
On this side, I don’t have a “checklist” so to say, it’s more of a platform if you will. A platform where there are 18 beautiful, resilient, and READY souls that I get to come together with every day and learn and live life with! We venture out to find Jesus in every subject that the day entails, and, I’ll you what . . . . WE FIND HIM EVERY TIME! He’s in the giggles at recess, the beautiful narrations told back, the moments where new content starts out confusing and ends with, “I got it!”, the beautiful work portrayed in their Nature Study books, and we find Jesus even in the times where we may have to practice our Habits over and over, He’s always RIGHT THERE!
On this side, the Ambleside staff is humbly and genuinely just as supportive, collaborative, and phenomenal! Whether I am a parent or part of the staff I am surrounded by G-O-O-D! Along with my amazing 18 students, I am also Blessed with some of the most dynamic & involved family support systems that they each come with!
I’ve been only on this “side” for a short period of time, but without a doubt, I LOVE THIS SIDE!
